The rule in plain words
In its CGL and JE city notices, SSC states that scribe registrations done before 5 November 2025 were disposed of. Anyone who wants to act as a scribe must register again, and the registration is now integrated with Aadhaar authentication.
For candidates who use an own scribe
Submit or map the scribe's registration number in your login so a scribe entry pass can be generated.
The deadline is stated in each exam's notice, for example 24 September 2026 for CGL Tier-I and 27 October 2026 for JE Paper-I.
The maximum age of an own scribe follows the updated policy referenced in the notice.
Do not wait for the last evening, since entry passes are generated only for candidates who complete the mapping.
