Stages to expect
Tier I: English language, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude and general awareness, 25 questions each, 60 minutes in total.
Tier II: a second computer-based stage with modules on mathematics, reasoning, English, general awareness and computer knowledge.
Any further skill or typing stage named for the post you choose.
How to prepare
Tier I rewards balance. Give each of the four parts regular time, and keep an error log so repeated mistakes in percentages, series or grammar are visible.
Tier II asks for more depth than Tier I. Once your Tier I accuracy is steady, move to longer sets and practise reading questions carefully under time.
Before you apply
Every cycle publishes its own notice, and it overrides anything summarised here. Save the notice, check its reference and any corrigendum, confirm qualification and age dates, and apply only through the official portal. No one can promise you a selection, so avoid anyone who does.
